Privacy policy
Who we are. This site is operated by Legarithm Corporate Services FZCO, Building A1, Dubai Digital Park, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai, UAE (“we”). For any privacy question write to setup@emirdesk.com.
What you send us. When you use the enquiry form we receive your name, email, phone number and message, your answers to the form questions, the page you sent it from, how you first arrived on the site (landing page, referring site and campaign tags, if any) and the IP address the request came from. It also carries your Google Analytics client ID, so we can match the enquiry to the source of the visit, and, if you opened the form from a calculator, the figures you entered and the result. If you email setup@emirdesk.com we receive your address and message; the “ref” code in the pre-filled subject only tells us the type of channel that brought you (search, AI assistant, ads, social media, another website or direct).
What the site collects on its own. Our web server keeps standard technical logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting. Google Analytics 4 sets two first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_BH9WE8TVNW, kept up to 13 months) with a random ID to count visits and pages. Ahrefs Web Analytics counts visits without cookies. Your browser also stores on this site the currency you chose (local storage) and, for the current tab session only, how you arrived and, if you pressed a quote button on a zone card, comparison or calculator, what you were looking at, including your calculator figures; this is sent with your enquiry so we know which channel it came from. We run no advertising trackers and sell no data.
Why, and on what basis. Enquiries: to answer you and prepare an estimate, as steps you ask us to take before a contract (UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on personal data protection; GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) where it applies). Logs and analytics: to keep the site secure and learn which pages help. Where the GDPR applies, the basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). You can refuse analytics cookies at any time by blocking them in your browser (see Cookies). If you become a client, the engagement agreement governs further processing.
Where it goes. Your enquiry is stored on our server (DigitalOcean, data centre in Frankfurt, Germany) and copied into our CRM (NetHunt). Our team gets a notification in its work chat (Slack) with your name, email, phone and the topic, and replies by email. Emails to setup@emirdesk.com pass through our email relay (Forward Email) to our company mailbox and are copied into the CRM. Analytics data goes to Google and Ahrefs. All of these providers, including our server, process data outside the UAE; we rely on their contractual data-protection terms and on the transfer being needed to answer you. Government bodies receive data only where the law requires it. We share it with no one else.
How long we keep it. Enquiries stay in our CRM, with a backup copy on our server, as the record of our contact with you: while we are talking, during any engagement that follows, and afterwards for as long as we may need them to answer a later question from you, show what was agreed or meet legal and accounting duties. You can ask us to delete yours at any time. Server logs: up to 90 days. Analytics cookies: up to 13 months.
Your rights. You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy (including in a machine-readable format), a correction or deletion, restrict or object to processing, by writing to setup@emirdesk.com. We reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the UAE Data Office or, if you are in the EU or UK, to your local data protection authority.
Cookies. The only cookies are the two Google Analytics cookies above. You can block or delete them in your browser settings; the site works the same without them.
